The Personal Scorecard System

A personal scorecard connects long-range goals to the behaviors available today. It is deliberately small: a few outcomes, a few daily standards, and one honest review.

Choose outcomes, then inputs

Goals describe direction. Habits describe what you can repeat. For each goal, identify one or two behaviors that improve the odds without pretending to guarantee the result.

Score behavior consistently

A simple completion rate is usually enough. Resist weighting and complexity until the basic loop has been useful for several weeks.

Review without negotiating the evidence

At the end of the week, note what worked, what got in the way, and what one adjustment you will test next. The score is a prompt for better decisions, not a measure of personal worth.

Winning is a process, not a moment.

Put it into practice
